All start up companies face challenges in building a business. One of the toughest challenges is attracting and keeping talented people. Talent will always be a critical factor in determining the success of a start up. At Lumavate®, we decided to plant our roots in Carmel, Indiana, just minutes away from bustling downtown Indianapolis. We’re happy to be in a city with a growing tech community that’s attracting great young talent. One local organization that is proving central to attracting and keeping talent in this community is the Orr Fellowship. This highly sought after Fellowship attracts the best and brightest from colleges and universities in Indiana and Ohio, and then partners with local Indiana companies to fill key positions.
This month at Lumavate, we welcomed our first two Orr Fellows, Aidan Baldwin and Lauren Hlavin, graduates of the University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s College respectively. Throughout the course of their next two years with the Orr Fellowship, Aidan and Lauren will be full-time members of our Customer Success team, while also gaining unparalleled exposure to the Indy tech community through Orr Fellowship sponsored events and workshops.
Aidan and Lauren have hit the ground running and are strong contributors to our growing business. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have them on our team and to be a host company to the Orr Fellowship. Its focus on keeping young, entrepreneurial talent here in Central Indiana and fueling this vibrant technology community is unparalleled.
